Affirmative Investments supported the redevelopment of Great Lakes Academy’s K–8 campus in South Chicago. Completed in August 2021, the project transformed two historic church buildings into a 75,000-square-foot educational facility. The former St. Mary Magdalene Church was converted into a multipurpose enrichment center with a gym, cafeteria, stage, climbing wall, and kitchen, connected to the original 1911 academic building by a light-filled glass link. Outdoor improvements include a turf athletic field, landscaped courtyard, green roof, and natural playground.
