Affirmative Investments, in partnership with the Island Housing Trust, was selected by the Town of Edgartown to construct 40 affordable and middle-income housing units, including 36 rental and 4 homeownership units. In addition to housing, the site design creates a pedestrian and bike-friendly neighborhood with a community building. Other amenities include outdoor play areas, passive recreational spaces, and paths that connect to the Old Meshacket Road ancient way. The site plan respects the site’s natural surroundings by protecting open spaces and maintains as much of the existing vegetation as possible.
